The Mission
We're seeking a skilled Roblox Developer (Gameplay Programmer) to build, maintain and scale the systems that power our existing hit titles while helping develop ambitious new experiences.
This is primarily a programming role focused on creating robust, scalable and maintainable solutions using Luau and Roblox Studio. You'll be working on live games played by millions while helping shape the next generation of experiences developed at Cinnamon.
While programming is the core focus of the position, additional skills within the wider Roblox ecosystem such as UI, graphics, VFX, audio, optimisation or technical design are highly valued and can help you make an even greater impact across our projects.
What You'll Do
Develop and maintain high-quality Roblox systems, gameplay features and core mechanics using Luau
Write clean, efficient and scalable code with a strong focus on performance, reliability and maintainability
Build systems that support live Roblox experiences played by millions of users
Architect solutions to technical challenges while balancing gameplay, performance and production requirements
Collaborate closely with designers, artists and other developers to deliver high-quality updates and new content
Debug, optimise and improve existing systems across multiple projects
Contribute to technical decision-making, development standards and long-term project architecture
Work independently while maintaining consistent delivery and meeting deadlines
Adapt quickly to changing production priorities and fast-paced development cycles
What We're Looking For
Strong experience using Roblox Studio and Luau
Experience developing polished Roblox games, systems and gameplay features
Strong understanding of programming fundamentals, architecture and code quality
Ability to manage development tasks end-to-end with minimal supervision
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively when approaching technical challenges
Reliable, self-motivated and able to meet deadlines consistently
Comfortable working in a fast-moving production environment
Excellent communication skills
Passion for games and a strong understanding of what makes gameplay engaging and successful
Highly favourable if you have experience in areas such as UI, graphics, VFX, audio, optimisation or technical design
Full-time availability or contract with intent to transition to full-time
Based in the UK and able to work remotely from home

Our Recruitment Process
1️⃣ All applications are reviewed manually by both our recruiter and internal studio team members from the first day of posting to the final closing date. Depending on application volume, this stage may take up to two weeks.
2️⃣Selected candidates will be invited to an initial screening call with our recruiter through TeamTailor. This is mainly an HR and culture-fit conversation focused on your experience, interests and motivation for working in Roblox.
3️⃣Applications progressing further will be reviewed internally by founders and technical team members before selected candidates are invited to complete a practical programming task relevant to the role.
4️⃣Completed tasks are reviewed by the studio founders, followed by a conversation with the founders for successful candidates.
